Relax during a slow and meditative yoga workshop at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio. Our workshops are suitable for all levels (newbies included) and EVERY body type. Amanda will gently guide you through relaxing yoga poses that focus on stimulating the connective tissues and joints of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. This is an opportunity to unwind and quiet your mind, while you focus on your breath.
We provide an inclusive space for people from all walks of life to relax, move their body and practice deep breathing. We believe in the healing and therapeutic benefits of art and yoga, especially when they are combined.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Amanda Palmer is a Registered & Certified Yoga Instructor
Previously, Amanda taught Beginner Herbalism Workshops at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio. However, after taking a maternity leave she has decided to channel her energy into the healing power of art and yoga.
Amanda has a beautiful heart and warm-spirit that lights up the room, from the first moment that she walks in. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of holistic health and wellness with others and looks forward to welcoming you into our studio!
Preparing for your class: Wear something comfortable, bring a water bottle and a yoga mat.
What can you expect at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio?
A welcoming environment that is free from judgements or expectations. Friendly and supportive staff members, who are here to gently guide you as you move at your own pace to best suit YOUR body's needs.
Our studio has air conditioning to help keep you cool on warm days, as well as a self-serve cold water cooler - please bring a reusable water bottle!
Heath & Safety Protocols:
- Small class sizes (10 participant maximum)
- Open concept space (1,100+ sqft) with participants spaced out to allow for social distancing
- Wall mounted hand sanitizer provided
- Controlled environment - with no foot traffic
- Our studio is thoroughly sanitized before each event or workshop
- Masks are optional, however they are encouraged
Stay Home Policy : If you are unable to attend due to illness, recent exposure or self isolation - please get in touch with us by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and you will receive a credit note with a 6 month expiration date. Compensation is not provided for anyone who contacts us after the class or workshop has started or for no-shows!
Our classes are carefully timed and therefore to make sure that everyone gets the most of the experience, attendees who arrive more than 5 minutes late are not permitted to participate and therefore will forfeit their ticket. Thank you for your cooperation.
If a class in unable to be held due to covid-19 restrictions or safety concerns, you will be notified by email and receive a credit note, with no expiration date.
Requirements: There is a mandatory waiver for all yoga participants to fill out and submit prior to the attending this workshop. Please download the waiver, fill it out and upload it - thank you! Alternatively you can email the document once it is filled out to : email@example.com or print it and bring it with you.

Calming Crystal Yoga Workshop | Beginner Friendly
Instructor: RYT Amanda Palmer | Included:1.5 hours of instruction and 3 genuine unpolished crystals (rose quartz, amethyst & citrine)

Join Amanda for a friendly and gentle yoga workshop that is suitable for beginners of all body types. We provide an inclusive space for people from all walks of life to relax, move their body and practice deep breathing.
Whether you believe crystals are the key to unlocking your spiritual bliss or simply find them beautiful, either you will enjoy the opportunity to incorporate them into your yoga practice during this unique experience.
During this workshop you will be guided through gentle poses to help align the heart (Rose Quartz) the crown (Amethyst) and the solar plexus (Citrine) for love, wisdom and self expression.
This is a calming, slow paced and low impact Yoga class. Studies have found yoga to have a significant impact on lowering stress and anxiety. Participants will receive a small bag of crystals to use and take home with you. These will be used as healing props to be placed on various spots on your body with corresponding poses.
Earth Elements Yoga Workshop | Beginner Friendly
Instructors: RYT Amanda Palmer | Included: 1.5 hours of instruction
Age Group: Adults
Embrace the natural wonders of the earth during this peaceful yoga workshop. During this class you will be gently guided through a sequence of poses that are focused on one of the five-elements (water, wood fire, metal and earth). Each element has a direct relation to the functioning of specific organ in the human body. As we learn about how our mind and body are connected to nature, we can become more balanced and in tune with our authentic self.
This class is suitable for all body types and is low impact, with slow and longer held poses.
Art on the Mat Workshop Workshop | Beginner Friendly
Instructors: RYT Amanda Palmer & Artist Jacquelyn Miccolis | Includes: 2 hours of instruction & art supplies

Join Amanda Palmer from Moon Beetle Yoga for a slow and meditative yoga workshop. This session is welcoming to any level (newbies included) and is designed to suit all body types.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, therapeutic style of yoga. Postures are passive postures that are primarily done on the floor either seated or lying down. Yin Yoga is unique in that you are asked to relax into the posture, allowing the body to soften and release naturally without pushing or straining. The time spent in each posture is similar to meditation, as the mind shifts from yang to yin, or from active to passive.
Following the yoga portion of this workshop, we will take a short water break. This is an opportunity to refresh, browse the retail area and get ready to engage in some calming creativity.
Joining you for the second half of the workshop is Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio Founder, Jacquelyn Miccolis. She will gently guide you through a series of simple, relaxing and creative art exercises, as you explore your breath mindfully. Every workshop involves different art exercises, so if you've attended this before don't worry because, we'll be creating something new as well as using different artistic mediums.
