As we continue to navigate the pandemic, we want to accommodate our customers as best as we can. Due to this, for the month of January we are offering several in-person and virtual online workshops. View our SCHEDULE for details. Also, check out our NEW BUBBLE BOOKING service.
Upon arriving at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio for a workshop, guests will find a class sign-in/screening sheet outside the studio door, for each person to fill out after using the provided hand sanitizer. We ask that guests keeps a social distance from other's during the signing-in process. The studio remains locked until the workshop start time, as we prepare to welcome each guest in one person at a time.
The screening questions are the following and anyone who answers yes, to any of the following questions is not permitted entry. Your health and safety is our #1 priority.
Are you sick or symptomatic?
Have you travelled outside of Atlantic Canada within the last 14 days?
Were you in close contact with someone with Covid-19?
Are you waiting for results of a Covid-19 test?
Please note: If a workshop in unable to be held due to covid-19 restrictions, it will be postponed and re-scheduled at a later date. If a registered guest is unable to attend the new date, a credit note will be issued - with no expiry date.
What can you expect during a workshop at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio?
Reduced class sizes (4 people maximum)
Individual trifold plexiglass cubicles for each participant
We have a strict zero contact policy
All of the supplies divided up in advance, with no sharing needed

Controlled environment - with no foot traffic
Thoroughly sanitized before each workshop
Masks are required when participating in any workshop at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio. We know that it's not fun to wear them but, we want to be able to continue to safely offer our services to the public and to spread the joy of creativity!
Q. Who are your workshops for?
A. Adults (18+), no artistic experience needed, we are a recreational based studio that encouraged people from all walks of life to attend!
Q. What if I am not creative or have no art experience?
A. Not a problem. We welcome people from all walks of life and backgrounds. We provide a friendly, welcoming and low-pressure style of teaching. We enjoy helping you unleash your inner creativity!
Q. What do I need to bring with me?
A. Just your fabulous self! Supplies is always included and divided up in advance. No sharing is needed. No paper copy ticket needed, please save the environment! We have a sign-up list. Please wear comfortable clothing and depending on the type of workshop, wear clothing that you don't mind getting messy. If you are attending a painting workshop, we provide aprons, which are washed regularly.
Q & A:
Registration Policy: Online registration is required in advance to attend any of our workshops. However, no physical ticket is required, as we will have a sign-in list present. All Workshops are scheduled through Eventbrite, which is a safe and highly trusted ticketing platform. Walk-ins are not accepted at this time, sorry!
Our workshop tickets includes: Base price (Instruction & supplies), tax and processing fee from the ticket platform. If you would like to avoid the the ticket platform processing fee, please send an e-transfer to: and tell us which workshop you are registering for. Once we receive your payment, we will promptly send a confirmation email along with an e- ticket(s).
Cancellation Policy: Sparkles n' Sawdust reserves the right to cancel a class, if the minimum enrollment is not met. 48 hour notification will be provided by email and you will receive a credit note or class transfer, depending upon your preference.
Inclement Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather, which results in the closure of the studio, a make-up classes will be scheduled and you will receive email notification. No refunds will be provided in this circumstance. Please check our social media for up-to-date information.
Refund Policy: Due to our studio offering small and personalized workshops, we do not offer refunds or class credits for any missed workshops. However, what we do provide for our guests is an unforgettable experience!
Parking & Accessibility: Unfortunately, our studio does not have a public parking lot, however there is street parking available and several parking lots with hourly rates. If you require direct accessibility, we will gladly welcome you in through our Grafton St. entrance. This entrance is located within the parking lot, directly beside The Stubborn Goat restaurant and is ground level and therefore wheelchair friendly. As our studio is located within a mixed use building, this entrance is locked from the inside during the evenings, therefore please send us an email in-advance so that we can arrange to let you in at your convenience. The Smoke-free Places Act: By law It is illegal to smoke within 4 meters of windows, air intake vents and entrances to places of employment. The Smoke-free Places Act applies to all combustibles, including tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, and waterpipes. Please do not smoke in front of the building entrance.
Food & Beverage Policy: Due to mask wearing requirements, no food or beverages are currently permitted in our studio.
Scent Policy: We are not a scent free studio, however please be mindful of those with scent sensitivities and avoid wearing strong perfume or cologne. Thank you for your cooperation!
By attending a workshop held by Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio, you agree that you will not reproduce, replicate or redistribute any element of the workshop or materials provided or content from our website or social platforms in part or full for commercial use.
