COVID -19 | HEALTH & SAFETY:
Upon arriving at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio for a workshop, registered guests will find a sign-in/screening sheet outside our studio door. We ask that each participant fills this out after using the hand sanitizer that is provided. Guests are required to follow proper social distancing protocols throughout this process. Our studio remains locked until the workshop start time, as we prepare to welcome guests in one at a time.
Your health and safety is our #1 priority. Please see the screening questions below, that you can expect to answer upon arrival for a workshop.

Have you travelled outside of Atlantic Canada within the last 14 days?
Were you in close contact with someone with Covid-19?
Are you waiting for results of a Covid-19 test?
Please note: If a workshop in unable to be held due to new covid-19 restrictions, you will be notified by email and receive a credit note, with no expiration date.
What can you expect during a workshop at Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio?
Reduced class sizes (4 people maximum)
Individual trifold plexiglass cubicles for each participant
We have a strict zero contact policy
All of the supplies are divided up in advance, with no sharing needed
Wall mounted hand sanitizer
Controlled environment - with no foot traffic
Thoroughly sanitized before each workshop
Face masks that cover both your nose and mouth are mandatory
Q. Who are your workshops for?
A. Youth - Adult, age specifications are listed in each individual event listing.
Q. What if I am not creative or have no art experience?
A. No problem! We welcome people from all walks of life and backgrounds. We provide a friendly, welcoming and low-pressure style of teaching.
Q. What do I need to bring with me?
A. Just your fabulous self! Supplies is always included in our in-studio workshops and everything is divided up into each individual plexiglass cubicle in advance. Therefore, no sharing is needed. You do not need to bring a physical copy of your e-ticket with you. If you are attending a painting workshop of any kind, aprons are provided, which we wash regularly. Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting messy!
Registration Policy: Online registration is required in advance, to attend any workshops. All of our in-studio workshops are scheduled through Eventbrite, which is a safe and highly trusted ticketing platform. Please note, that walk-ins are not accepted - sorry!
Cancellation Policy: Sparkles n' Sawdust reserves the right to cancel a class, if our minimum enrollment is not met. In this circumstance, you can expect to receive an email notification at a minimum of 24 hours in advance. A credit note or class transfer will be issued, with no expiration date.
Inclement Weather Policy: If we are unable to host a workshop due to inclement weather, you can expect to receive email notification and a credit note will be provided, with no expiration date. Studio closures are also posted on our social media accounts @sparklesnsawdusthalifax
Refund Policy: Due to our studio offering small and personalized workshops, we do not offer refunds or class credits for any missed workshops. However, what we do provide for our guests is an unforgettable experience!
The Smoke-free Places Act: By law It is illegal to smoke within 4 meters of windows, air intake vents and entrances to places of employment. The Smoke-free Places Act applies to all combustibles, including tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, and waterpipes. Please do not smoke in front of the building entrance.
Food & Beverage Policy: Due to covid-19 restrictions and mask wearing requirements, no food or beverages are currently permitted in our studio - sorry!
Scent Policy: We are not a scent free studio, however please be mindful of those with scent sensitivities and avoid wearing strongly scented perfumes or colognes - thank you for your cooperation!
