Vendor Rules & Regulations

  1. Vendor set up begins at 5 P.M, please note that the door is locked prior to. Vendors should not arrive any later then 5;30 PM to begin setting up. 

  2. Vendors must complete their set up prior to the commencement of the market. Vendors should be ready to sell at  6:00 PM. Vendors are required to vacate the premise by 11 PM.

  3. Vendors may only sell products that have been approved.

  4. Vendors should keep their designated area clean, attractive and within the boundaries of their allocated space.

  5. Vendors are not permitted to block the doorways or create any barriers that could disrupt other vendors from setting up, selling or tearing down.

  6. Vendors are not permitted to have more than one helper accompanying them during the market. 

  7. Vendors are required to stay for the duration of the market. If a vendor has sold out of their products, a “sold out” sign may be displayed, but the table should not be removed until the end of the market.

  8. Vendors are not allowed to bring pets, drink alcohol or smoke at the market, or on the property of the market site.

  9. Vendors must remove all garbage, clean their area of debris and remove all visible signs of their stall within one hour of market closing. Cardboard boxes should be removed from the site and not left behind.

  10. Vendors are not allowed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while at the market

  11. Vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a friendly and professional manner. Vendors must not disparage other vendors, products, or the market. 

  12. Vendors are expected to be respectful of others and we have a strict zero tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination or any kind. Market staff reserve the right to tell any vendor who is caught in violation of these terms to leave without monetary compensation for lost market time. If a vendor violates these terms more than once they will without negotiations - forfeit their contract, without any monetary compensation.

  13. Music is not permitted to be played by vendors and cellphones should be placed on silent mode or turned off. No phone calls are permitted inside the studio during market hours, please exit the studio if you need to place a call.

  14. Vendors are required to promptly return the bathroom key to market staff after they finish using the facilities. If the key is lost there is a $50 replacement fee. Washrooms are for vendor use only and therefore vendors are not permitted to let patrons use the facilities.

  15. This is not a scent-free event, however please be mindful of scent sensitives and avoid wearing  strong perfume or cologne.

  16. Vendors are solely responsible for their own personal belongings and market staff is not liable for any theft or damages that occur.

  17. Food and beverage vendors are responsible for any applicable health and safety food vendor permits and licensing requirements. Vendors must also adhere to any applicable food allergen labeling laws.

  18. Market staff reserves the right to make changes to the vendor rules and regulations when  necessary - to ensure the safety and well-being of the staff, vendors & patrons.

  19. Vendors are not permitted to participate if they are required to self-isolate due to recent covid-19 exposure, illness or if they are experiencing ANY covid-19 symptoms. 

Cancellation Policy:

 

All vendor fees are non-refundable or transferrable. Some medical exceptions may apply. This is determined by market management and handled on a case-by-case basis.

 

The Thursday Nite Market will run regardless of inclement weather (emergencies or extreme weather are the only exceptions). Vendors are encouraged to have a friend or family member cover their table if they are unable to participate.

Parking Info:

Sparkles n' Sawdust Studio does not have a parking lot and therefore vendors will need to secure their own parking accommodations. Street parking can be found in the surrounding area. Also, there are several public paid parking lots nearby. Street parking & Hotspot meter information can be viewed HERE

Our studio is located within a mixed commercial building, with shared washroom facilities. Unfortunately, due the washroom size we sadly are not wheelchair accessible and do not have a baby changing table.

Vendors accept all risks associated with participating in the market. Vendors and their representatives agree to protect and hold Sparkes n' Sawdust Studio and their employees harmless and to indemnify such entities from any and all claims, demands, suits, actions, judgments, and recoveries, for or on account of any damage, theft, or injury to property or person occurring as a result of the vendor’s use of market space. Vendors are strongly encouraged to have their own business and product insurance.
