Stephanie trained in the lineage of Krishnamacharya "the father of modern yoga." Stephanie believes that it is important to keep the individual at the center of their own practice and to teach what is appropriate for each person. Also, with a focus on the importance of linking breath to movement, and not rushing through the poses. She would rather make sure that her students feel the benefits from each pose, then have it look a certain way. We are all unique and change from day to day. Without a "one size fits all" approach, Stephanie believes that it is important to be mindful of where you are in the moment, without judgement. In doing so, you can achieve greater things in your practice, both on and off the mat.
